UPDATE (Nov 29): I've captured some logs. I wonder if there are known issues with Big Sur and NFS? I'll continue running this way and see if it remains stable.

While SMB has proven to be more stable (no more freezing or crashes), it's very slow. UPDATE (Nov 21): I've tried switching the share that qBittorrent is using from NFS to SMB. There are no qBittorrent processes running under Activity Monitor. ( ~/Library/Application Support/qBittorrent/logs/qbittorrent.log). I wish I had more to go on but the log shows me nothing. Has anyone else experienced this? It's too bad because qBittorrent had become a very reliable app for me. When I restart my Mac, I have to physically shut the Mac down with the power button because it hangs while shutting down. If I try to start the app without restarting the Mac, qBittorrent hangs on startup. To get qBittorrent working again I have to force quit qBittorrent and restart my Mac. These is nothing in the application log indicating any sort of error. No issues!Īfter a while (12-24 hours), qBittorrent hangs and becomes unresponsive. I was on version 4.2.5 and tried upgrading to 4.3.0 but the problems still persist. I've installed the latest MacOS update (Big Sur) and ever since then I've been having problems with qBittorrent.
